That's a great question! I've been wondering about ceramic brake pads myself, especially since my current brakes are getting noisy and leaving black dust all over my wheels. From what I've learned, ceramic brake pads have some really nice advantages - they're much quieter than other types, produce very little brake dust (so your wheels stay cleaner), and they tend to last longer than organic or semi-metallic pads.
However, they're not perfect for every situation. Ceramic pads are usually more expensive upfront, and they might not have the same 'bite' or stopping power as semi-metallic pads, especially in performance driving or extreme conditions. Some people also mention that they can feel a bit less responsive at lower speeds.
For daily driving and most normal conditions, ceramic pads are often considered the better choice because of their cleanliness and longevity. But if you do a lot of towing, mountain driving, or performance driving, semi-metallic might serve you better. What kind of driving do you typically do?
