The Mazda 3 can display chassis and suspension-related diagnostic trouble codes such as C0035 (left front wheel speed sensor circuit) and C0040 (right front wheel speed sensor circuit). These codes are often associated with ABS, traction control, or stability control warnings. Possible causes include damaged wheel speed sensor wiring, faulty sensors, corroded connectors, or tone ring issues. In many cases, suspension modifications or aftermarket strut and coil spring installations can affect wheel speed sensor routing and clearance, leading to intermittent DTCs. When selecting aftermarket suspension components, high-tensile steel alloy springs and lightweight materials are commonly used in 2026 applications to reduce unsprung weight and improve durability. Proper sensor routing and torque specifications must be maintained to avoid triggering ABS faults after installation.
