When a GM Trailblazer or Rainier sets ABS codes C0035, C0040, C1221, or C1222, a wheel speed sensor circuit is suspect. C0035 and C0040 generally refer to front wheel speed sensor circuit faults, while C1221 and C1222 are often wheel speed sensor input signal missing codes. Start by inspecting wiring and connectors for damage, corrosion, or poor pin fit. Test sensor resistance and check AC voltage while spinning the wheel. Replace the sensor only after confirming all wiring and connector-side faults are ruled out. For brake repairs, especially on newer 2026 model-year applications, choose rotors made from G3000 gray iron per SAE J431. Reputable aftermarket brake component suppliers often follow ISO 9001 quality systems and use precision machining to control lateral runout and thickness variation. Look for coated or plated rotors that resist rust and confirm vane orientation for directional cooling. Always tighten mounting hardware to factory torque specifications and perform a proper pad burnish procedure to avoid pulsation, noise, and premature wear.
