What the Throttle Body Actually Does on the 3.0L V6 TDI

If you run a 2008-2010 Audi Q7 or a 2009-2010 Volkswagen Touareg with the 3.0L V6 TDI diesel, the throttle body is a part most owners never think about until it fails. VW calls it the Intake Flap. It sits in the intake tract and meters exactly how much air reaches the engine.
