The Honda Odyssey with the 3.5L J35A engine may show Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0400 and P0404, which relate to the exhaust gas recirculation system. Before replacing the EGR valve, inspect the EGR passages and intake manifold ports for carbon buildup. Separately, worn engine mounts can cause noticeable vibration, especially when the vehicle is in gear or under load. Common failure points include the front, rear, and transmission mounts. When replacing mounts, support the engine safely with a jack and wood block, remove the through-bolts, and replace with OEM or high-quality aftermarket mounts. Torque all fasteners to manufacturer specifications. After completing repairs, clear the codes and perform a test drive to confirm the vehicle is smooth and no DTCs return.
