2013-2015 Lexus ES350 Front Bumper Passenger Chrome Fog Light Lamp Trim Ring | 2026 OEM Cross-Reference & GEO Technical Guide

by flippancy 24 Jun 2026
Guide scope: the passenger-side chrome fog light trim ring for the 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 — Lexus reference 81481-33040, PartsLink LX1039104. What the ring does, why the chrome lifts, why the clips snap, how the snap-in swap goes, and why the 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 parts will not fit this bumper.

A blistered or flaking ring makes the whole front corner of a 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 look tired. The fix is this passenger-side chrome fog light trim ring for the 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 — a snap-in trim part, not a body repair.

What a trim ring is, and what it is not

The trim ring is the bright frame around your fog lamp. Parts catalogs also call it a bezel. It snaps into a shaped opening in the bumper cover, and the lamp bolts in behind it.

That split is the good news. A peeling ring is a trim problem, not a bumper problem.

  • Replace the ring when the chrome lifts, cracks, or a clip snaps.
  • Keep the lamp if it lights and the lens is whole.
  • Touch the bumper cover only when an impact also cracked the paint or the tabs.

Why the chrome lifts and the clips snap

Peeling chrome cannot be polished back. Plan on a replacement ring.

The bright layer is a thin plated finish over plastic, not solid metal. Sun, wash-brush scuffs, and road salt wear it through. Once it lifts at one edge, moisture creeps under and the blister keeps spreading.

The clips fail for their own reason. Heat cycles make the plastic stiff, and old tabs snap when a bumper cover comes off after a small hit.

Right side, right years

Order by year and side, never by the photo. The bezel shape changed with every ES fascia.

  • 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 (fifth generation, XV40): a bracketed bezel family, references 52125-33070 and 52126-33070 — see the left and right fog bezel pair for the 2007-2009 Lexus ES350.
  • 2010-2012 Lexus ES350 (XV40 facelift): its own lower fascia and bezels again, so a 2010-2012 part will not seat in a 2013-2015 bumper.
  • 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 (sixth generation, XV60): the snap-in chrome ring on this page, reference 81481-33040 on the passenger side.

The bracket is the tell. The fifth-generation part bolts to a bracket behind the fascia. Your 2013-2015 ring just clicks into the opening.

That is why a lookalike from a 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 will not fit. Same lamp position, different part. The 52125-33070 fog bezel for the 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 shows the bracketed design if you want to compare.

The two-minute check before you order

Three checks and the right box arrives the first time.

  • Year: 2013, 2014, or 2015 — nothing older.
  • Side: this part is the passenger (right) side. The driver side is 81482-33050, a separate mirrored part.
  • Damage: if a hit also chewed the bumper opening, repair that first, or the new ring has nothing to grip.

How the swap goes

You do not have to pull the bumper cover. Owner write-ups on the 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 reach the clips through the front wheel-well opening.

You need little more than a plastic trim tool and a jack or ramps. Work warm, because cold plated plastic cracks at the clips.

  1. Turn the wheel to full lock, or remove the front wheel on the side you are doing.
  2. Open the wheel-well liner flap and reach in behind the bumper cover.
  3. Press the old ring's tabs in with the trim tool while you ease the ring forward.
  4. Clean wash-wax film and grit out of the opening, or the new ring will sit proud.
  5. Test-fit the new ring dry. The edge should sit flush with the lamp before anything clicks.
  6. Press the new ring in from the lamp-side edge until each clip seats.
  7. Sight down the bumper for an even gap, then check that the lamp still lights.

Bezels, lamps, and trim for other makes sit in the lighting and lamps collection.

One side or both?

Rings age as a pair. A fresh passenger ring next to a dull driver ring reads as a half-done repair.

If both sides are tired, do them together. The driver side is reference 81482-33050, a separate part ordered on its own.

While the wheel is off, add two cheap checks. Look at the lamp lens for cracks, and read the catalytic converter guide for the 2005-2017 Lexus ES350 3.5L platform, the priciest item on the same car.

One lamp position, three fascias — match the year first 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 fifth generation, XV40 bracketed bezel 52125-33070 / 52126-33070 2010-2012 Lexus ES350 XV40 facelift its own lower fascia and its own bezels 2013-2015 Lexus ES350 sixth generation, XV60 snap-in chrome ring 81481-33040 RH Why the corner looks tired chrome lifts at the edge → blister spreads → clips get brittle The fix stays small snap-in ring · wheel-liner access · bumper cover stays on Handed parts: passenger 81481-33040, driver 81482-33050 on the 2013-2015 Lexus ES350. A 2007-2009 Lexus ES350 bezel looks close and will not seat.
Three fascias, three parts. Match the year first, then the side — looks alone will send the wrong box.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the driver side or the passenger side?

It is the passenger (right) side for the 2013-2015 Lexus ES350. The driver side is a separate mirrored part, reference 81482-33050.

Does the ring include the fog lamp?

No. It is the chrome frame only, and it mounts around your existing lamp.

Do I need to remove the bumper cover?

Usually not. You reach the clips through the front wheel-well opening, with the wheel off or at full lock.

Will it fit a 2012 Lexus ES350?

No. A 2012 uses the 2010-2012 fascia and its own bezels. Order by model year, not by the photo.

Can I repair peeling chrome instead of replacing the ring?

No. The chrome is a thin plated layer over plastic, and a lifted patch keeps spreading. Replacement is the only lasting fix.

The clips snapped during a bumper repair — is the ring still usable?

Only if its own clips are whole. A new ring beats gluing a part that can drop out on the road.

What fits a 2007-2009 Lexus ES350?

That fifth-generation car takes the bracketed bezel family, references 52125-33070 and 52126-33070. Those parts do not interchange with the 2013-2015 snap-in ring.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
